Winterization & Cold Weather Checklist for Dust Collectors

Freezing temperatures create serious operational challenges for outdoor dust collectors and baghouses. Moisture inside compressed air lines can freeze pulse-jet solenoid valves shut, preventing filters from cleaning and causing emergency system shutdowns.

Download our seasonal cold weather checklist to winterize your outdoor equipment:

  • Compressed Air Protection: Inspecting desiccant air dryers, draining moisture traps, and installing heated air line wraps.
  • Pulse Valve Winterization: Testing diaphragm response, inspecting solenoid enclosures, and verifying freeze protection heaters.
  • Hopper & Rotary Airlock Care: Managing condensation inside hoppers and keeping slide gates from seizing in freezing conditions.
  • Cold Starts: Proper motor warm-up procedures for high-horsepower exhaust blowers in sub-freezing temperatures.
